Sundown M Ranch provides the foundation young people need to enjoy life without drugs and alcohol. Our program gives young people the practical skills to successfully deal with their addiction.
Upon arrival, youth are assigned to an all male or all female primary treatment group. Male and female patients are housed in two separate sleeping wings with four patients per room.
Each patient has a primary chemical dependency counselor who is supported by a clinical team including medical, educational, psychological and recreational specialists.
Sundown M Ranch keeps students on track academically with a year around School Program. Certified teachers conduct classroom activities and monitor individual study. Physical education in a gender specific daily class is also offered in Sundown’s 7,000 square foot gymnasium.
Entwined throughout the Sundown M Ranch therapy program is the recovery philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous. According to research, 12-step involvement is the number one route to recovery for youth who have completed treatment.
Family counseling has proven to be an essential part of the recovery process. The family is fully informed and educated by Sundown’s professional staff about the individualized treatment plan and ongoing treatment options.
